Kelsey has successfully been sleeping in her big-girl bed now for about a week. The transition was mush easier than I thought it would be. She goes straight to sleep, stays in her bed all night and still calls Mommy when it's time to get up in the morning. We're pretty lucky because I know many parents struggle with this.

A new addition to the family!
And no, it's not of the human variety. A couple weeks ago (Aug 29) we become the lucky new owners of a 4 1/2 year old yellow lab named Eunice. She was a seeing eye dog that wasn't getting along with her current owner and was looking for a new home. We couldn't have had better luck - she's fully trained, very well behaved and very loving. Overall, she's just a great dog. Kelsey loves her - calls her Nunice! She's still learning when enough is enough when it comes to touch, hugging and following Eunice everywhere! But Eunice is a trooper and puts up with all Kelsey's "love"!
Welcome Eunice!

Playland and Hannah's Birthday
Today we ventured off to Playland to celebrate Hannah's 11th Birthday! The weather was wonderful and everyone had a great time. Kelsey was able to go on 4 rides and she loves being with her cousins and Aunty. And most importantly, I think Hannah had a great birthday!

The Greater Vancouver Zoo
Jim and I are both on holidays for a week and decided to "stay-cation" rather than "vac-ation" this year. Our week started with a trip to the Zoo. Kelsey loves animals, especially elephants and peacocks (??). So, off we went to the Greater Vancouver Zoo! I was pleasantly surprised. With all the negative publicity the zoo has had over the last couple years, I expected to see small, dirty enclosures with unhappy, stressed out aimals. But, 'twas not the case and I'm glad. Aside from costing us a small fortune, we had a great time. And when we win the lottery or come across a 2 for 1 coupon, I'll go again! The highlight for Kelsey was probably the peacocks (??) and the train. She's very into trains right now!!
First Family Road Trip
A couple weeks ago we attemped our first mini trip as a family. We headed to Kamloops to visit Jim's Aunt & Uncle and cousins. We had a wonderful visit with everyone, stayed in a hotel and visited the BC (Kamloops) Wildlife Park before heading home. It was great!
