The Greater Vancouver Zoo

Jim and I are both on holidays for a week and decided to "stay-cation" rather than "vac-ation" this year. Our week started with a trip to the Zoo. Kelsey loves animals, especially elephants and peacocks (??). So, off we went to the Greater Vancouver Zoo! I was pleasantly surprised. With all the negative publicity the zoo has had over the last couple years, I expected to see small, dirty enclosures with unhappy, stressed out aimals. But, 'twas not the case and I'm glad. Aside from costing us a small fortune, we had a great time. And when we win the lottery or come across a 2 for 1 coupon, I'll go again! The highlight for Kelsey was probably the peacocks (??) and the train. She's very into trains right now!!

We will be hearing stories about this guy for months!

Riding the Giraffe

Looking at animals that looked like pigs, but found out later they were nothing close to a pig?

The giraffe! Kelsey was pretty impressed by these guys too.

THE TRAIN! And it was a great train ride - 20 minutes, narrated, fun!
